CoCo Key Resort and Water Park Orlando

I stayed here for 5 days and 4 nights, and unfortunately, I would not recommend it. The main reason we booked this hotel was because the pools were advertised as heated. We wanted our son to be able to enjoy the water park, even in the evenings. The problem is that the water was never heated during our entire stay, so the water was too cold for him to enjoy. The hotel was also very overcrowded, especially on Saturday and Sunday. They sell day passes to the water park, and there seemed to be no limit on how many people were allowed in. It was so packed that people were practically sitting on top of each other, making it uncomfortable even for hotel guests. Another issue was the flooring around the front pool. It became extremely hot in the sun, making it painful to walk barefoot. For a pool area, this doesn't seem like the right type of surface. As for cleanliness, it was disappointing. The room wasn't cleaned properly, the towels had hair on them, and housekeeping didn't even remove the trash consistently. Overall, the service and housekeeping did not meet expectations. We first visited Coco Key around 10 years ago and, unfortunately, our experience back then was not a good one. The resort felt very run down, our room had cockroaches, the air conditioning didn’t work, and overall it just felt tired and unclean. Fast forward 10 years and we accidentally booked Coco Key again this year. I’ll be honest, we were really worried about returning and had low expectations because of our previous experience. We were pleasantly surprised! The difference was incredible. The resort has clearly had a major makeover — everything felt much fresher, cleaner and more welcoming. The old sticky carpets have gone and have been replaced with much nicer flooring, which made a huge difference. Our surroundings felt much more modern, tidy and well looked after. It was great to see how much effort has gone into improving the place. After our first visit, we never thought we would return, but we’re really glad we did. It’s a good reminder that places can change, and Coco Key has definitely come a long way. Really glad we got a chance to experience the improved coco keys.

For the price i paid i thought the room would be a bit nicer. All the funds go into the water park for sure. The bathroom is so small you have to shut the door to use toilet or shower. The bed were hard and the linen was stained. We got locked out of our room bc every time the door shut the lanch swong closed on the other side. The kids absolutely loved it though. I would go back for them. The water park is great and so is the arcade. I didn't eat there so can't comment. I was going to get breakfast buffet but the people at the front desk couldn't tell me what it consisted of. I would pay $50 a day for Muffins and bagels. How would i know of it was different if they dont even know?? The location is perfect so many restaurants and fun things to do that is in walking distance
